Plane Food Is Ass

I don't know what I'm going to write here, but I just felt the need to write something. Anything.

Anyway, the title of this post comes from the episode of How I Met Your Mother, Last Words, where Marshall and the gang are at his father's funeral where the theme is "last words." Marshall realises his father's last words to him were, "plane food is ass," before remembering it was actually an "odd racist" comment about Koreans, before realising it was actually, "Rent Crocodile Dundee 3, it totally stacks up." This episode is one great episode and man, I have to applaud Jason Segel on his acting in that scene in the snow where he is yelling at God, before hearing his dad's actual final words in the form of a voice message. Beautiful stuff.

Anyway, I never thought I'd like this show, let alone love it, let alone use it constantly to cheer me up nearly everyday. It's strange but whenever I'm in a cruddy mood or just feeling bored (at least one of those feelings comes basically everyday), I'll just put on some HIMYM and feel almost instantly happier. I don't know what it is, actually, about it. I guess I kinda like the group and wish I could be like them when I'm that kind of age. You know, a really fun group of friends who genuinely care about each other, amongst all the joking. I don't want to be exactly like them, but I hope I'll have a group of friends like that when I'm in the "working world."

I also wouldn't mind turning out a bit like Robin. Independent. I admire her independence. I also wish I had a best friend like Marshall, but let's not go into my never-ending love for that character.

So, I am supposed to be doing a "skeleton draft" for my last English assignment ever right now. I just don't know what to do. This assignment sucks, man. We had a "choice" between doing a written or oral assignment based on if our grades were lower for written or oral. My grades were basically exactly the same (I'm a straight A- student...) for both, so my teacher decided to make me do oral. This terrifies me. So, so, so much. You have no clue how freaked out I've been over this.

I've also found myself becoming even more, even though I wouldn't have thought this possible, emotionally attached to fictional characters and ships between fictional characters. I genuinely think I'm compensating for something that I feel is lacking in my own life. Whether I wish I were like these characters or I wish I knew people like them. I just don't know why I find myself loving fictional characters so much that I can actually feel it in my body.

I re-watched the last two episodes of Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! this weekend. That was totally smart of me... I don't remember exactly what it was, but I think I read a short review of the manga on Wikipedia that something negative towards Usui. For some reason, this made me read the TVTropes page and read about him and feel so, so, so compelled to read the manga just so I could read more about him. I wanted to cry and hug him and read about him and learn everything about him. And, not just cause he's possible the hottest anime character I know of.

What else has been going on in my life? I had my grade 7 flute exam on Thursday. I am not quite sure how it went and I keep trying not to think about it, because my thoughts are not very positive.

I had my two last competitions for band and we got a silver for both. It's when I really love band- when we are performing and competing. That's when you realise how much of a team it is. Everyone relies on each other and we all share the successes or failures together. I will genuinely miss band.

I'm building a bridge in Physics with a group of my friends. It's not going too well, but whatever. As long as the assignment that I write on it is good, it doesn't matter if the bridge fails or not.

I have four weeks left of school. I would tell you how that makes me feel, but I don't think I can explain it and I don't think I want to, seeing as though, for some reason, I have butterflies in my stomach, am feeling really weird and emotional and am listening to Adele and Someone Like You just came on. I cannot relate to any of her music, but it always makes me feel emotional anyway.

"Never mind, I'll find someone like you..."

"I won't let you close enough to hurt me. No, I won't rescue you to just desert me. I can't give you the heart you think you gave me. It's time to say goodbye to turning tables." I don't know if those lyrics are totes correct, but whatever. Good song.

I've grown my nails pretty long in the past two weeks or so, so I've really gotten in the habit of tapping them on the desk or the laptop. I've been doing it tonight but it's started to hurt... Huh.

I've given up on my Photos of the Week. I just can't do it. I have so many other things on my mind everyday that I don't even think about the photo until Friday night/Saturday night or Sunday nights. I then spend Sundays trying to find something to take a photo of that slightly resembled my week. I forget and finally get ready to upload something two weeks later, only to find that my computer is being a bully and won't let me upload it. I don't like it becoming this extra stress that is just being done because it "has to be done," that's not what it was for. So yeah. I admit defeat.

Tumblr's stuffing up on me now. Guess it's a sign to get off.

Anyway, guess I should get off here now. I mean, the Adele CD just finished. Another sign. Bye y'all and remember- plane food is ass.

Yeah. Uh. Meh. Eh. Totes. Yeah. Ya Mum.

^ That is how I responded to my brothers when asked how school was. They found this amusing and tried to tell me that it wasn't an appropriate answer because it didn't make sense. Pfft, whatever.

Anyone ready for a pointless point? I sure am. I felt the random urge to write one of my posts in which I share random, pointless things that are happening and going through my mind with all of you bloggers out there. This urge occurred to me while I was reading through my Music assignment. My assignment is boring me. That is not a good sign...

Doo-wop is such a funny name for a musical genre. I mean, yes, the name does really fit with the genre itself, but it's just one of those names that will never cease to make people laugh. It's hard to take it seriously. Like Wii. I mean, come on, whose bright idea was it to name a gaming console that? My family, mainly my immature father, still makes jokes. Can you blame him, though? It's called a Wii for goodness sake. Yes, it is awesome and fun, but it does not have a good name. Just sayin'.

So, in my assignment, I was talking about how this piece kind of fits into the genre of easy listening music. I then say, "it does not entirely fit into the genre of classical music." Classical music? What? I never once mentioned classical music. And why would I? Neither of the versions of this song are classical? I knew there was a reason I was proof-reading this.

Zez? Some guy's name was Zez? Really?

Actually, that's kinda cool...

WHY IS WIKIPEDIA THE ONLY SITE THAT IS HELPING ME WITH THIS ASSIGNMENT? I CAN'T REFERENCE THAT! ALL THE OTHER INFO HAS COME FROM MY HEAD! GAH.

What the hell internet? Really? No reputable sources for me? At all?

I could use an encyclopaedia or something. Yeah. Sure. I'll reference that. That's reputable and whatnot.

I am really bad with synonyms. I re-use the same word SO many times in assignments and exams. Serious. In one of my last English assignments, I said the word "chaos" a LOT, in this music assignment I am saying "light-hearted" and "intimate" a lot. That, my friends, is why Thesaurus.com has become one of my closest friends. Yes, I did capitalise the name of a website. That is because we are so well-acquainted and I have gained a new respect for Thesaurus.com, so it deserves a capital letter, as we all do.

Really, Thesaurus.com? Bosom? Buddy-buddy? I am not using those in my assignment. "This use of the acoustic piano adds to the bosom, buddy-buddy affect of this cover." No.

Inbred? Guess I'll stick with 'intimate'. It's OK, Thesaurus.com, we are still friends. Even though you failed me.

1074 words. I'm cool with that. Now to find some slightly reliable sources to make up a fake reference list.

Wait. I never have Music on Thursdays? Huh. You learn something new everyday. You'd think by week 9, Term 3, I'd know my timetable off-by-heart. But, this is the first year when I don't. I don't know why. Weird stuff.

Someone must be on the phone. The internet connection nearly dropped out. Why does it do this? WE DON'T HAVE DIAL-UP, DANGIT.

Oh. My. Gosh. Just put my hand on my knee and I swear it felt like something was just moving, squirming or swimming around under my skin. Kinda cool. I was just sitting here, with my hand on my knee and my face all O_O. Man, I have some serious issues.

I just played a couple of games of Wii tennis and a game of Wii bowling with my bros, as a study break. Man, I become competitive as when playing video games. I am not even that competitive usually. Seriously. Once I played Halo with my youngest brother and, well, basically, I sucked. Uber sucked. I couldn't control properly and whenever someone turned up, I'd shoot like a mad woman, but I'd miss. He kept killing me and I kept.. well, sucking. So, I started hitting him with a cushion yelling, "LET ME KILL YOU!" It was quite funny. Even he thought so. It's now known as The Halo Incident. Today, I lost of both tennis games, but didn't really care. I was a bit of a sore winner with the bowling, but they didn't care. Whenever I'd get a really good score, I'd be all, "OH! EAT THAT! MM!" and do this weird dance, butt-shaking thing.

Oh no. Here comes the part of the sickness where the eyes water randomly and uncontrollably while the nose is tingly and irritated.

DINNER TIME.

I really like couscous. I mean, I love rice. And, well, it's like mini-rice.

Why do I suddenly have an Adele song in my head? Random!

Anyway, tomorrow I have my "last" exam for this term. It's not actually my last because I have to do my Maths exam on Thursday. It was actually yesterday, but I was home sick. And that was fun. I'm serious. Lying on the couch watching TV and catching up on some much needed Doctor Who was really good. I wish I was able to skip the next few days. Anyway, I was going to go home after my exam tomorrow and celebrate/do SOME Maths revision, but now I've realised I should probably stay and try and finish off my Music Composition assignment that's due on Monday, seeing as though I've barely started it and last term, I got a C-, bringing my overall mark down to a B. I am trying to make this composition at LEAST B-. I would actually be SO happy with a B-. I swear, if I get an A- on my performing and analysing assignments and a B- on my composition, I will be a happy girl.

"Don't you remember-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er?"

OK. 2 minutes until I said to myself, internally of course, that I would go and get my father's assistance with Physics.

I really wish I didn't have to do Maths on Thursday. I want my exams to be over after Physics tomorrow. I want to be able to come home and chill and be happy and waste an hour or two watching the Korean drama I started on Friday and am addicted to already, despite only seeing one episode. I fell in love with the main character. It was weird. She is some goofy, somewhat pathetic (well, that's how others see her), loner chick who is unlucky with love, but she actually opened my eyes a little and showed me what I want my life to be like. Weird, but yeah, now I have a dream. My dream involves skipping the next four or so years, because I have no CLUE how I'm going to get there, but it's OK. Seeing as though it's now 2 minutes AFTER my designated time for Physics help, I will not describe my dream here. I will do that... some other time. PHYSICS TIME.

Alright. One hour revision with my dad and I am understanding stuff. Whoop. I finally get the right hand grip rule and palm rule. YES!

Thanks to my flu, my voice has gone weak and squeaky. It's kind of amusing, but it'll be annoying at school...

I don't think I have anything else to say and I really want to change the look of this blog, so bye y'all.

Me Gusta la Música Japonesa, Tíos.

That's right. Spanish title, guys. For those of you who cannot speak Spanish, it says, "I like Japanese music, dudes," and it speaks the truth. I am getting into Japanese music a lot this year. Thanks to anime and Gojo. About two years ago, Tenuto Tuo would try and play foreign music to me and I'd be all, "I don't really like it... cause I can't understand it." Now Mr Tuo and Miss Gojo have gotten me into JPop/JRock/Europop :)   I don't even care if I have no clue what they're singing about. I can hear the emotion in their voices, very often. I love their voices. I love the occasional time when I understand a word (OK, basically, I know when they say, "thank you" in a song). I love the music. I find myself dancing and humming and making weird noises that might sound like the words. It's good fun.

So, today is supposed to be Physics Day. My English Extension teacher hasn't gotten back to me about my draft, so I can't work on it. Well, that's a lie. I CAN work on it, but I really don't know what to do without his assistance. I doubt I'll know what to do WITH his assistance either, but whatever. It's Physics Day. It's not going so well. I am... very confused. Mmm, it's not going so well. And it's due Thursday. You know what else is due Thursday? That English Extension assignment I can't do. I will fail. Or get something in the C range, for sure. For both assignments. Wait. No, stop. No stressing! CALM, GIRL!

*cough* Moving on. I started watching Toradora! yesterday. Because that was smart. Anyway, I love it. I've only watched two episodes, but it's exactly the kind of anime I was looking for. BST FTW, guys. Basically, the main guy and chick like two other people. They are helping each other get with their respective people. But, obviously, they'll end up falling for each other. N'aww. It's good.

Now, yesterday I told y'all I was going to watch an episode of Lovely Complex. Mmm, yeah. About that... I watched episode 1... and did not like it much. The main chick's voice was very annoying. The animation was meh. The premise behind the show was still dumb. Tall girl and short guy. For some reason their height is a big deal. They both fell for people, tried to get those people, gave up on those people and let them be together all in one episode. No idea where the plot would go for the next 23 or so episodes. Plus, neither of the male characters where even slightly fangirl worthy. So, I gave up after one episode.

Maybe it would get better, but an anime really has to grab me pretty early on or I won't continue watching it. I remember the first time I watched Special A, when I was an Anime Noob. I thought it was weird. Very weird. I watched one episode and then, I believe I found Fruits Basket. I don't know what made me go back to Special A, but I'm glad I did, because I loved it. Something must have grabbed me.

I watched episode 1 of Ouran High School Host Club a couple of months ago, because it is SO popular and I kept reading about it. It didn't grab me, strangely. I should probably watch the sub instead of the dub that I watched. I just found it kinda strange and the voices annoyed me and I didn't really like the animation. I got kinda bored and I didn't find ANY of the MANY guys fangirl worthy. Mm, this is all quite an unpopular opinion, I'm sure, as many people who like the shoujo kinda things I watch, love this show... Oh well. I'll try it again sometime.

But for now, Toradora! I really like it. Definitely my kinda thing. These coming holidays I would like to finish both Toradora! and Durarara!! It's my plan. I doubt I'll finish them both, but I must finish one and watch more of the other. I have a feeling I'll finish Toradora! first.

Also, I really like the main guy. He is really quite cool. As is his pet parrot.

Loser Is What The Lion Called You When You Couldn't Find Your Balls...

Yesterday was a really good day. I had a concert where I had to perform 3 pieces with a Flute Ensemble I'm in. That went pretty well. Apart from the fact that the tradition has stayed. It is now a recognised tradition that whenever I perform with this group, I can't see the conductor properly for most of, if not all of, the performance. For 2 out of 3 of the pieces, I could barely see her hands conducting. For the third piece I could see, because I had to move to a different spot when changing parts. Apart from that, it went well. I then had to rush to get my flute packed, grab my saxophone, go get changed and make it to the rehearsal of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble I'm in. I had much difficulty finding room to sit (including a chair and stand) in the small room we had to practice in. The 4-song performance of that went really quite well, I thought. I then had Subway for lunch and went home, bringing Phantomess along. Last night I went to see the hilarious [title of show] for the second time with Phantomess, Gojo and Miss Invisible. Absolutely amazing night. So funny, so touching. Pure brilliance. I love this show so much. I was sitting next to Gojo and at many various times the two of us were sunken in our chairs laughing hysterically. That pretty much sums up the show.

Now, I'm not really sure why, but I have the compulsion about one of my favourite shows of all time, Total Drama. Now, this show is kinda aimed at people significantly younger than me. I am definitely too old to love it as much as I do. Like, seriously. It's demographic is kinda pre-teen. Oh well. I still love it.

Now, my obsession with this show began in Term 3 of school last year. I heard heard my brothers singing the theme song and thought it sounded stupid. Then, I heard it was a cartoon "reality" TV show. I was all, "Oh my gosh, that's so stupid." If only I knew... Anyway, I remember the first bit of this show I ever saw. It was in the third season, World Tour, and it was episode 11,  called Jamaica Me Sweat. I came in about half way through to see Alejandro scheming and kinda sucking up to DJ, in order to make an alliance. I am pretty sure I said something along the lines of, "Oooh, this guy's baad," to my brothers. I never looked back...

I came to school one day and was talking to Phantomess. I'm not sure how the topic came about, but I found out she quite liked the show too. We spent a whole lesson talking about it, even though I'd only seen some episodes from Season 3 and she'd seen it all. The Friday night of that week, I went on youtube and watched all of World Tour.

In the following holidays, I had several marathons, using youtube to watch the entirety of Total Drama Island and Action. I was addicted, but World Tour shall forever be my favourite.

Phantomess spent a large majority of Term 4 last year talking about it, annoying pretty much all of our friends...

I really do have different favourite characters to like, 98% of other fans. My two favourite characters are generally hated and one of my least favourite characters is a fan favourite. Just goes to prove that I don't really conform to the fans... Now, my favourites... I don't have a specific order, but I have a group of favourites. Although, the first two are my all-time favourites.
- Heather
- Alejandro
- Duncan
- Harold
- Trent
- Courtney, strangely. I hated her when I watched WT the first time. I liked her after watching all seasons.

The only one on that list that is pretty much always liked by the fans is Duncan.

My ships. Now, I am a big shipper in this show. Well, I'm a big shipper all the time, but still. I have my very personal, strong opinions about couples in this show and have three very big ships. In a specific order, this time...
1. HeatherxAlejandro- AleHeather
2. DuncanxCourtney- Duncney
3. GwenxTrent- Gwent
Yeah. Number 2 & 3 are veryy controversial with the fan base.. Oh, the fan base...

It's re-showing on TV so I'm totes high on this show lately :P

Anyway, enough of that. For now.

I'm going to watch episode 1 of Lovely Complex tonight. I have heard about this anime for awhile. It seems kinda popular. It seems very much like a light-hearted RomCom, girly anime. Some places have plot summaries that make it seem really lame, which is why I've never watched it before, but Wikipedia's one made it seem half-decent. It has a kinda weird premise, but hey, it's worth a try.

Now, it may not be a good idea watching this tonight... Tomorrow I have work to do! Two assignments due on Thursday. Both are moving VERY slowly. Tomorrow shall be dedicated to Physics. Today was supposed to be, but I didn't do much on it. Seeing as though I didn't get up till like, 11:15am and I couldn't find mu USB till 2:30pm, I did OK...ish...

The title of this post is one of the best lines from one of the best songs from one of the best episodes of World Tour :)

Not Happy, Jan!

Yo, blogger peeps. Totes chilling in the State Library now. Opening my Physics assignment. Due on Tuesday. Whoop. -_- I thought I would share with you much randomness.

So, walking into the library about 5 minutes ago, I saw a man sitting alone and the first thing I thought was, "He looks British. If he starts talking and doesn't have a kinda posh English accent, I'll be very surprised." How does someone look British. I do not know. Unfortunately, he didn't just start randomly talking like a crazy person, so I couldn't test my theory.

I also saw a man who looked like he didn't have a face. He looked like an... Auton (I believe that's what they're called) from Doctor Who. Basically, walking mannequin alien dudes. Yeah, I freaked out a little then he raised his head and funnily enough, he had a face. He's a human being. Not an alien from Doctor Who. Hallelujah for that.

I had a slightly embarassing time in my Flute Ensemble rehearsal this morning. 4 people in my part have to play a high D-flat. Worst note on the flute. Awful. We were so out-of-tune because I was SUPER SHARP. We spent awhile trying to rectify that sharpness and failed. I adjusted everything that could be adjusted and was still sharp. So, she got me to play the fingering for low D-flat/C-sharp and overblow, to try and play a harmonic. Yeah, I had to play a note 2 octaves above the one I was fingering. Fun. I got one octave. Then 3 octaves. Mmm. I fluctuated between playing a bit low and too high. Finally I got it and held it (every other time I got it, it was for about 2 seconds) and we tuned that with another guy. It was flat. F my life. So, after all that, we decided that one guy in our section will play that note and the rest of us won't.

Gotta write an abstract for my Physics. It's annoying. We've got to do an abstract, introduction AND background information. So far, my abstract and intro are VERY similar. And all of these "How To Write An Abstract" websites aren't really helping...

"Abstracts have always served the function of "selling" your work." So, I've got to try and sell my Physics assignment. I am completely sure no one would want to buy this. Really. Who in the right mind would pay money to read a year 12 analyse the physics in the Tower of Terror in about 2000 words? Not me, that's for sure.

123 words, guys. Big enough abstract. Sure. Wait, no, I'll facebook some of my Physics bros to see what they have. Even though the one who will have the best abstract won't reply to me, I'm sure. Grr.

Sent a message to like, 5 guys.  One of them's bound to answer. I just hope they don't answer with, "i haven't done mine yet. i dunno how to. lol" I'll facepalm if that happens.

My posture here is hurting my back. Ouchies. Actually, it's my neck. Actually, it's the back of my neck.

What are you talking about? Constantly correcting myself and blogging about the pain in my neck is not weak form of procrastination.

My teacher told me to make my introduction sound interesting. It was boring. Pretty sure that reflects the rest of my assignment.

Well, I see Phantomess coming towards me. So long, dudes.

He Tits Me Off So Much...

Ah, the things we think we hear when our ears deceive us. Phantomess thought I said this when actually I said, "He ticks me off so much" referring to a particularly annoying child in Year 9 at my school.

I'm in a pretty good mood this afternoon so no depressing rants for you! Ha! Anyways, I am going to use this post to document the random junk that's going on here and the work, or lack thereof, that I am doing.

I have David Harris' EPIC riff from his cover of Save The Last Dance For Me stuck in my head. Zomg. So good.

What are you talking about? No... I am not checking several websites as well as looking up [title of show] songs instead of working on my Physics Assignment Draft. No.....

Aw. As soon as I hop on the computer (Woah. Weird mental image of a bunny literally hopping on my laptop...), I open up all the fun, social network, leisurey sites and check them, read them etc. before my internet gets slow. It is now officially slowing down. Shoot. Me. Now.

So, I have all of these sticky notes with lists and reminders pegged, with actual pegs, to this grid like thing on my bed. I have a bunk bed with a desk underneath and when you look up, from the desk, there is a grid. Mine is covered in random things and now, because of my genius epiphany last night, reminders pegged on. Yep, I am one organised chick.

I'm so into lists lately. Nearly every afternoon I will rip a piece of paper out of one of my many notepads (I am a stationery freak) and write a list with little boxes to put ticks in. The lists consist of things like homework, assignments and specific aspects of assignments to do. They work though, because I don't want to leave boxes un-ticked (No, spellcheck, not "unlicked") at the end of the day.

GAH. I HATES SLOW INTERNETS.

Youtube is being like, relatively quick and stuff. Hey there youtube. I appreciate your cooperation in this matter. I CAN HAZ [TITLE OF SHOW] MUSIC!

So, Phantomess and I were in spare today "doing Music Extension assignments". Translation: we were listening to songs from [tos]. I laughed and Crazy Librarian came along. She monitors spare lessons and takes her job very seriously. I believe she has an in-built radar for the sole purpose of hearing my laughter. Apparently, if I laugh, it is a sign that me and all those around me are off-task. Sorry guys :)
Anywho, Crazy Librarian comes along and is all, "What are you doing? I heard Clearly Unfocused laughing." Phantomess, the brilliant improviser that she is was all, "Oh sorry. I was getting her to listen to some songs from a musical that I'm studying for Music Extension," and Crazy Librarian was all, "Oh. So it's for your assignment?" To which we answered, "Yes," and she left, proceeding in some great laughter from us.

Oh my gosh. KEY CHANGE! I LOVE this musical and am SO excited to be seeing it with my pals.

Ok, who wouldn't love a show that has a song that says, "It's the opening song. It doesn't have a name and it's not very long"? And, come on! They sing about adding syncopation in a syncopated rhythm. The muso in me loves that.

Last [tos] reference. Die, Vampires, Die! is SUCH an inspirational song. SO funny but so heartwarming and inspirational and just WOW. LOOK IT UP. WARNING: COARSE LANGUAGE.

Wow, I actually bought my Physics notebook home. Huh, I thought ahead. I applaud my former (from like, 2 hours ago) self. IMMA TYPE UP SOME PHYSICS NOW.

I hate typing up Maths and equations. It looks dumb. I like it handwritten. But I can't hand in my handwritten, messy, all-over-the-place Physics stuff. Icky.

Oh, heck yes! Typed up the stuff that Mr T&C (or C&T. Whatever floats your boat) told me today. Suck it.

Now what?

So, like, my school's gonna be on TV for some Driver Education thing and the UN chose us. I have no clue at all why, but hey, it's getting us out of some class and Phantomess has to talk to them and yeah. TV. Whoop.

Oooh. I should do some Music Extension. But what I should do and what I will do are two very different things, haha.

I need to practice my instruments too. Mmm. Later. Now for... Music Extension, I suppose.

That wonderful moment when you close your Physics assignment and THEN remember something else you've got to do on it. Eughk.

That great moment when Phantomess is as addicted to [title of show] as you so neither of you are helping each other work.

This Music Extension assignment is so boring and depressing. I look at it and go, "Seriously. This hasn't been handed in yet? You mean, I have to work on it more?"

Wow. I've really got to stop listening to [tos] now. I need to work. Like, badly.

I just closed youtube. Applaud me now.

...

I can't hear you.

Does a Radioactive Cat Have 18 Half-Lives?

I had a parent-teacher interview this afternoon. It's funny to say that, since I'm neither a parent or a teacher. But whatever, I feel like something might have clicked in my strange, muddled brain. This teacher was my Physics & Maths A teacher and from here-on-in shall be called Mr Carrot & Tuna or Mr C&T. Yes, because once, he left the room and came back with a carrot, causing me and Miss Invisible to laugh uncontrollably. Today, he left and came back with a can of tuna. He ate it (not the actual can, obviously) and left the room and came back with another can of tuna. Anyway, his food habits are not important. Now, we sat down and Mr T&C told me mother that I am doing very well in Physics. I wasn't too surprised by this, not because of my huge ego or anything, as he has always seemed to be a fan of me and my relatively consistent B grade in Physics. Now, he pulled out my last exam, in which I got a B-, C, D+ in the three sections, averaging out at about a C. Not my best, but I passed. He proceeded to say that I do well in knowledge and I understand the concepts and can do everything, but the high level of maths seems to freak me out and I panic, especially in exams. This is true as, in the exam, I was going to cry many times and was pretty much having mini-panic attacks in my seat. Now, he went on to talk about Physics, how I am self-motivated (I had to restrain from laughing out loud at that. If only he knew how un-motivated I am. But, I guess I am kinda motivated when it comes to Physics) and work hard, especially since I have not been sitting next to my friend who shall be known as Albino, as the two of us would do nothing but yell at each other. A lot. I do miss those yelling matches though. Anyway, this talk made me feel good. He also said I'm pretty good at Maths. Hah. He thinks that I can maintain, or maybe even raise, my solid B in Maths and try and stay at a solid high B in Physics. It reminded me of how important this subject is to me. Physics, not Maths. I hate Maths. But, Physics is some huge symbolic thing for me. It's weird, but true. Now, at the end of last year I was doing Maths A, English, Biology, Physics and Music. I wanted to pick up English Extension and Music Extension for thus year- making 7 subjects. This COULD have been done, but I was so stressed out doing 5 and knew I couldn't do 7. I needed to drop one. This was one of the toughest decisions I had ever made. I liked Physics, but got Bs and Cs. I was pretty bored with Biology, but I got As relatively easily. I could not decide. Some people would say, "Go with the one with better grades," and others would say, "Go with the one you like." After SO much deliberation and crying and stressing, I chose to drop Biology. Best decision I've made in a long time. I do kinda miss it, because I had done it, and had that teacher, for years, but I really, really like Physics. It's become a statement for me. I never thought I could do Physics when I started in year 11. And I managed to finish year 11 on a high B and half a mark behind the top of the class. I felt SO good. I felt like, if I dropped Physics, I would be giving up and all of that hard work and boosted ego would have been for nothing. I felt like I would be proving something if I managed to do well in two years of Physics, despite my questionable Maths abilities. I still feel like that. This subject interests me and is, strangely enough, the only subject that I never dread going to. That's impressive, since I dread every other class quite frequently. I generally quite like going to Physics, I have fun, I don't mind doing the homework and, weirdly enough, I am kinda excited to do my assginment. I guess I want to finish and just show everyone up. I want to be able to say, "You didn't think I could do it? You didn't think I would make it and actually do well? Well, in your face. Me, the shy, weird girl in Maths A just beat you all in Physics!" I know most of them don't care how I do, but I still don't think grades for any subject this year could make me feel much better. Now, I fear that if I type this next thing, I'll always remember it, setting myself up for disappointment, but my big dream for this year (apart from looking really good and feeling really good at my formal, but that's another post...) is to win the Physics Subject Award. Subject Awards are given at our Valedictory Dinner to the best in the subject. I know I won't get it for any other subjects. You see, I'm in the top group for every other subject, but I'm never the top. I could be the top of Physics, but there is one guy standing in my way and he shall be known as The Insane as his grades and knowledge of Physics and Maths is insane. I won't beat him, but if I did, I couldn't ask for a better graduating present. I know that's weird and nerdy, but it means a lot to me to do well in this subject. This is what this interview with Mr T&C reminded me of. I need to keep remembering this and keep this goal of a B or higher, and the subject prize, in mind and just work my butt off to try my damnedest to get it.
I have NO idea what that weird Trident-like symbol means, but hey, it's still amusing.
N'aw, Physicist love <3
Even I don't fail that much

Heh. Faceplant.

PS. I was looking up Physics jokes, where I found the post's title, and it feels good, albeit nerdy, to understand the jokes and be able to laugh at them. Heh, 18 half-lives.
